PEOPLE REALLY DO GO TO CHURCH!

Okay, so this one will be in just English I think. I'm with lots of pain to my head and ear and the clicking when I type isn't helping a whole lot... buuuut, this week as you can see in the title we finally had people... investigators at church with us!! Man it was great. Even though one doesn't live in our area, the other doesn't want us to teach her in her house, the other needs to get married and is basically an investigator forever, and the other told us he didn't want us to go back to his house, but he wants to be baptized and still shows up at church... like what??? but still, more people getting to know about the church of Christ!

So this week was sooooo slow haha. only because everyone we're teaching told us they didn't want to hear more, or they aren't progressing so we cut them all from our list of people we are teaching... its been rough. we're struggling a lot to find new people to teach, and who will really progress and stuff like that. But we're trying everything we can! also we were dying this week. I think we stayed at home 2 days this week because Sister Castro is having looots of pain in her legs and has a hard time walking... and then I have problems with my ear, which doesn't prevent us from working but it still sucks haha. 

This week I've been learning how much I really love studying the scriptures and really being able to see my questions be answered in such simple ways. The scriptures are sooooo awesome!! did y'all know that?? I know with every fiber of my being that the scriptures are the words of God. That He has given us sooo many wonderful books to learn and grow closer to Him and His Son! I am so blessed and so grateful for this opportunity to learn and grow for myself here on the mission.

A Chuva Nunca Vai Parar!!

Beleza, primeiramente obrigada à todos por seu amor esta semana!! Meu aniversário foi perfeito!!! Semana foi difícil mas em total foi muito legal! A semana inteira estava chovendo, literalmente todas as dias. ugh imagine trabalhando e fazendo contatos na chuva. É basicamente impossível! Ninguém estava na rua!!! contatos foi difícil demais!! e eu não sei como mas ninguém tava na rua mas também ninguém tava em casa (ou eles estavam ignorando a gente), sei não vchh. Mas conseguimos!!

Corremos atrás nossa padrão basicamente ontém e sábado, mas conseguimos fechar quase tudo. infelizmente, nossa batismo caiu por esta semana mas vai dar certo por semana que vem!! alem disso não muito aconteceu! Tomamos muitos banhos de chuva, fiquei doente mas tudo bem né? Faz parte da missão! 

Estou amando esta área e minha companheira! Bora batizaar!!!

Beauty, first thank you all for your love this week !! My birthday was perfect !!! Week was hard but in total it was really cool! The whole week was raining, literally every day. ugh imagine working and making contacts in the rain. It's basically impossible! No one was on the street !!! contacts was hard too !! and I do not know how but nobody was on the street but nobody was home (or they were ignoring us), I know not vchh. But we got it !!

We ran our pattern basically onttem and saturday, but we managed to close almost everything. unfortunately, our baptism has fallen for this week but will work out next week !! besides that not much happened! We took lots of rain showers, I got sick but that's okay, huh? It's part of the mission!

As ruas são desertos!!!

beleza então para começar, tivemos transferências! wooo! e booooo! estou muito triste de sair de alecrim depois somente uma transferência, tenho muito saudades das pessoas lá, e para dar tchau por minha mãe... infelizmente udagawa foi embora, gente eu (de todas as pessoas) estava chorando! ugh eu amo ela, e estou muito triste que ela foi embora... mas estou muito feliz para trabalhar aqui em Potengi!!! Cara vai ser da hora! Estou aqui com Sister Castro, ela é muuito muito boa!! Estou muito feliz à trabalhar aqui com ela! Ela é de chile, então de novo estou aprendendo espanhol! vai ser bom viu! até agora não estamos com muito trabalho por causa de Carnaval. TODO MUNDO  estão viajando!!! então ninguém está na rua, as ruas de verdade são desertos!! mas vai dar certo! a gente já está batendo porta para falar com as pessoas, espero que dar certo este jeito! mas além disso não tenho muito por esta semana!

so for starters, we had transfers! wooo! and booooo! I am very sad to leave Alecrim after only one transfer, I already miss people there, and having to say goodbye to my mom (sis udagawa)... unfortunately she went home this week... and i of all people was crying!! guys it was so sad! i love her so much and am so blessed to have had her as my mom and friend here! but I'm very happy to work here in Potengi!!! Guys its going to be awesome! I'm here with Sister Castro, she is sooo very awesome!! I'm very happy to be working with her! She's from Chile, so again I'm learning Spanish! It will be great, just watch! we're not so far with a lot of work because of Carnival. EVERYBODY is traveling! so there is literally no one in the street, its literally a desert here! but it's going to work out. we've been knocking doors to talk to people, I hope it works out this way. But beyond that I don't have much for this week!

Melhorando cada vez mais!! Eu espero!

Então acho que semanas passados eu estava falando sobre alguns dificuldades que temos.. para ensinar pessoas na casa delas, encontrar pessoas boas na rua e levar as pessoas para igreja. Longa historia bem breve, a gente fez muitos metas para melhorar e levar pessoas para igreja, trabalhamos com força esta semana para cumprir nossas metas com esperança a levar nossas pesquisadores na igreja. batemos todas de nossas metas e no domingo ainda ninguém foi por igreja.... não sei por que estamos com muito dificuldade de levar pessoas na igreja mas estamos tentando muito falar a importância de ir na igreja. Estamos melhorando com nossas metas, trabalhando juntas e realmente ajudando as pessoas entender a importância destas coisas.

esta transferência foi muito dificil por mim mas aprendi bastante!! e espero que eu consigo colocar essas coisas em pratica por o resto de minha missão! vai dar certo! mas foi uma transferência que nunca vou esquecer!!! Amo muito sister Sosa e estou muito imensamente grata por ela! 

no sábado tinha a oportunidade de trabalhar mais uma vez com minha mãe, antes ela vai embora para casa! mano foi muito muito bom!!! a gente ensinou uma família muito muito boa!! cara foi o melhor lição que já tinha em minha missão! ela ensina com muito poder mas também é muito divertida quando ela está ensinando. cara eu quero ensinar como ela um dia, sério. estou muito muito grata que ela é minha mãe e que eu tinha muitos oportunidades de aprender dela! amo amo amo ela, estou muito triste que ela está indo embora... 

mas eu sei com todo meu coração que mesmo que estou com muitos dificuldades estou aprendendo as coisas que eu preciso. estou melhorando por me mesmo todos os dias.. pelo menos eu espero! sei que esta é a igreja de cristo, não tenho nenhuma duvida sobre isso. ele é nosso Salvador, e ele nos ama bastante! eu amo minha missão e meu oportunidade de servir meu Deus e meu Salvador Jesus Cristo!!

English Translation...

So I guess last week I was talking about some of the difficulties we have ... to teach people in their house, find good people on the street and take people to church. Long story short, we made many goals to improve and take people to church, we worked hard this week to fulfill our goals with hope to take our investigators to church. we hit all of our goals and on Sunday no one went to church .... I do not know why we are having a hard time taking people to church but we are trying very hard to talk about the importance of going to church. We are improving with our goals, working together and really helping people understand the importance of these things.

This transfer was very difficult for me but I learned a lot !! and hopefully I can put these things into practice for the rest of my mission! it will work! but it was a transfer I will never forget !!! I love sister Sosa very much, and I am immensely grateful for her!

on Saturday I had the opportunity to work again with my (mission) mom (sis.udagawa) before she goes home! guys it was very very good !!! we taught a super awesome family of like 10 people!! Dude, that was the best lesson I have ever had on my mission! <Sister Udagawa> teaches with a lot of power but is also very funny when she is teaching. Dude, I want to teach like her one day, seriously. I am very grateful that she is my mom and that I had many opportunities to learn from her! I love her, I love her, I'm very sad that she's leaving ...

but I know with all my heart that even though I'm lots of difficulties, I'm learning the things I need. I'm getting better every day .. at least I hope! I know this is the church of Christ, I have no doubt about it. he is our Savior, and he loves us! I love my mission and my opportunity to serve my God and my Savior Jesus Christ !!

Arena Das Dunas

The Floor is Lava! kkk

Perfect, so this week was probably the funniest week ever! If you understand the title of this email you'll understand why it was so funny! If not, I'll explain! So one of the recent converts here showed us a video this week and apparently its a joke or game that has been popular lately called The Floor is Lava. If someone says this to you, you have 5 seconds to get off the floor or you burn or die or lose or something along those lines. Man the video he showed us was soooo funny! And us, still being teenagers decided we wanted to give the game a try.. hahaha man its probably the funniest thing ever! I'll attach a video that I did with sister sosa! But this happened in the middle of the week so lets start over! 

Monday: to be honest I dont remember what we did on monday haha! I think we just kind of stuck around the area, did a little bit of shopping and then went home haha. just a day real chill.  

tuesday: man I'm horrible, dont remember much this day too! I think this is the day the SLT's did splits with the sisters in Canguaretama. sister hathaway went there and we recieved sister rubio for 2 days! man she is amazing! she's from chile and has 4 months here! shes so so funny!! love her tons!! Okay so I guess the whole the floor is lava wasnt really the middle of the week no... it happened tuesday! so he showed us all the video and when we left his house to go to family home evening we were literally dying laughing because of the game. sister sosa and i went home real quick to get my camera, as we were leaving again I said to her the floor is lava, and well you just have to see the video! FHE was perfect! it was with my favorite family here, they are so funny! They are all recent converts except for the dad, we're still working with him. But they're so great! FHE was awesome, and as always super funny!! 

 

 

 

Wednesday: worked as normal, contacting, sometimes teaching. its been rough lately to really sit down and teach... but we're trying!! 

thursday: we had zone conference!! wooo! went super super well, had tons of fun and learned so much! love having zone conferences!! I've added some pictures in dropbox for you guys! 

friday: we finally had a lesson in someones house! man it was super good!! we met her early this week and are very excited to see her progress! unfortunately she couldnt make it to church with us this week, but she says she'll go this upcoming week! invited her to be baptized and marked a date! 

saturday: sister udagawa celebrated 18 months here! shes going home here shortly and we decided to decorate the house for her! added those pics too! man I am so sad shes going home... going to miss her so so much!!! 

sunday: we had church which was great. unfortunately we didnt have any investigators at church with us... again... but we're still optomistic for the upcoming week! one of the talks at church really hit home for me. He talked about the importance of the book of mormon and made us think of how important it is in our life. then he asked the question that really got me thinking. he asked "what would your life look like without the book of mormon?" it really made me think if I"m really using the book of mormon how i should. If i'm reading and studying how I need to to learn more about my savior Jesus Christ. It made me think, if I can imagine my life without the book of mormon and it doesnt change drastically then I'm not using the book of mormon how i should be. 

so this week I have a challenge for you all. Think about this, what would your life be like without the book of mormon? if its not much different I encourage you to do something that will make a difference. Start reading and studying more frequently. Really apply the things you read to your life! 

I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God, that this book has more power than we can imagine! It has the power to change our lives if we let it! If we read, pray and ask about the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon we are promised a testimony of the Book of Mormon, of Joseph Smith, that he really was a prophet called of God. And we will grow more and more closer to our Savior Jesus Christ! This book is the keystone of our religion and without it we are nothing!! I know this with all my heart, and hope that you too can know these things for yourselves! If you don't have a Book of Mormon ask my family, I'm sure they can get one for you!

Perfeito, então esta semana provavelmente foi a semana mais engraçada de sempre! Se você entender o título deste e-mail você entenderá por que foi tão engraçado! Caso contrário, vou explicar! Então, um dos recentes conversos aqui nos mostrou um vídeo esta semana e, aparentemente, é uma piada ou um jogo popular recentemente chamado The Floor is Lava. Se alguém diz isso para você, você tem 5 segundos para sair do chão ou você queima ou morre ou perde ou algo assim. Man, o vídeo que ele nos mostrou foi tão engraçado! E nós, ainda sendo adolescentes, decidimos que queríamos dar uma chance ao jogo ... o homem kkk provavelmente é o mais engraçado que nunca! Vou anexar um vídeo que fiz com a irmã sosa! Mas isso aconteceu no meio da semana, então vamos começar de novo!

Segunda-feira: para ser honesto, não me lembro do que fizemos na segunda-feira kkk! Eu acho que nós apenas ficamos presos na área, fizemos um pouco de compras e depois fomos para casa, kkk. apenas um refúgio de um dia.

terça-feira: homem, eu sou horrível, não lembro muito deste dia também! Eu acho que este é o dia em que os SLT se separaram com as irmãs em Canguaretama. Hathaway da irmã foi lá e nós recebemos a irmã rubio por 2 dias! homem, ela é incrível! ela é do Chile e tem 4 meses aqui! é tão engraçado !! amo ela muito​

Ok, então acho que todo o chão é lava não era realmente o meio da semana, não ... aconteceu terça-feira! então ele nos mostrou todo o vídeo e quando saímos de sua casa para ir à noite da família, estávamos literalmente morrendo de riso por causa do jogo. irmã sosa e eu voltei para casa muito rápido para pegar minha câmera, quando estávamos saindo novamente Eu disse para ela que o chão é lava, e bem, você só tem que ver o vídeo! FHE foi perfeito! Foi com minha família favorita aqui, eles são tão engraçados! Todos eles são conversos recentes, exceto para o pai, ainda estamos trabalhando com ele. Mas eles são tão bons! FHE foi incrível, e como sempre super engraçado !!

Quarta-feira: funcionou como normal, contatando, às vezes ensinando. Foi difícil ultimamente se sentar e ensinar ... mas estamos tentando !!

quinta-feira: tivemos conferência de zona !! wooo! super super bem, tive muita diversão e aprendi muito! Adoro ter conferências de zona! Eu adicionei algumas fotos no dropbox para vocês!

Sexta-feira: finalmente tivemos uma lição na casa de Someone! cara, foi super bom !! Nós a conhecemos no início desta semana e estamos muito entusiasmados por ver seu progresso! Infelizmente, ela não conseguiu chegar à igreja conosco esta semana, mas ela diz que ela irá na próxima semana! convidou-a a ser batizada e marcou uma data!

Sábado: irmã udagawa comemorou 18 meses aqui! Ele está indo para casa aqui em breve e nós decidimos decorar a casa para ela! adicionou essas fotos também! homem, eu estou tão triste que vai para casa ... vai sentir muita falta dela !!!

domingo: tivemos igreja o que foi ótimo. Infelizmente, não tivemos nenhum investigador na igreja conosco ... novamente ... mas ainda somos optomistas na próxima semana! uma das conversas na igreja realmente bateu em casa para mim. Ele falou sobre a importância do livro do mormon e nos fez pensar sobre o quão importante é em nossa vida. então eu fiz a pergunta que realmente me fez pensar. perguntou "como seria sua vida sem o livro de mormon?" Isso realmente me fez pensar se eu realmente estou usando o livro de mormon como deveria. Se eu estou lendo e estudando como eu preciso aprender mais sobre meu salvador Jesus Cristo. Sem o livro do mormon e isso não muda drasticamente, então Não estou usando o livro de mormon como deveria ser.

então esta semana eu tenho um desafio para todos vocês. Pense nisso, como seria a sua vida sem o livro de Mórmon? Se não é tanto, isso fará a diferença. Comece a ler e estudar com mais frequência. Realmente aplique as coisas que você lê na sua vida!

Eu sei que o Livro de Mórmon é a palavra de Deus, esse livro tem mais poder do que podemos imaginar! Ele tem o poder de mudar nossas vidas se a deixarmos! Se lemos, oramos e perguntemos sobre a veracidade do Livro de Mórmon, nos prometeu um testemunho do Livro de Mórmon, de Joseph Smith, de que ele era realmente um profeta chamado de Deus. Sabe andar skate? Sim... ou NÃO!!!

Hey y'all!!!! So it's a new week, so I have new stories! Or at least one really funny haha. 

so on tuesday we were visiting some recent converts they're kids and are so freaking cute! D and D, one has 13 years and the other 8. D (13) decided he wanted to ride his skate board around while we were talking with them, well he offered us a turn. Sister Sosa went first and didnt do very well haha. shes a good dancer but cant stay balanced on a skate board haha. Then I went, I've done this before and I thought everything would be alright. Well I pushed off and everything was fine. I tried to push again to go farther and somehow I stepped more on the back of the skate board, and the board flew out from underneath me. hahaha I fell right on my butt and the skateboard went flyiing across the street! hahahah man it was so funny!!!!! we were all dying laughing hahaha! 

Man it was so funny!!! But other than that, work wise this week was a little difficult. we've been having difficulties with finding people who want to meet with us more than just one time haha. Its been rough but I know that things will work out! We have one really good investigator we've been working with since the first week here, shes great and shes progressing minus the fact that we still havent gotten her to go to church with us. Hopefully she goes with us this week! Fingers crossed everyone! We have lots of really good families that we meet this past week and I am very hopeful that things will work out with them and we will be able to help them a little bit these next few weeks! 

I'm learning a lot these past few weeks a lot more about our savior Jesus Christ and that He is really our only saving grace! That He seriously voluntarily suffered for every single one of us to give us the chance to learn and grow and to give us one person, the most perfect person to understand everything we are going through. I'm learning more and more that every single on of us, regardless of our situation,are children of God. That he loves each and everyone of us personally and only wants the absolute best for us! 

Loving my life here in Brazil and my chance to share this light and knowledge with the wonderful people here! Thank you all of you, for being such great examples in my life and helping me really feel the love of our Heavenly Father!!!

Olá a todos!!!! Então é uma nova semana, então eu tenho novas histórias! Ou pelo menos uma super engraçada.

Então, na terça-feira, estávamos visitando alguns recém conversos, eles são crianças e são tão fofinhos! David e Diogo, um tem 13 anos e o outro 8. David (13) decidiu que queria andar de skate enquanto conversávamos com eles, bem, ele nos ofereceu um turno. Sister Sosa foi primeira e não fez muito bem, kkk. Ela não pode ficar equilibrada na skate kkk. Depois eu fui, fiz isso antes e pensei que tudo ficaria bem. eu empurrei para começar e tudo estava bem. Eu tentei empurrar novamente para ir mais longe e, de alguma forma, pisei mais na parte de trás do skate, e o quadro voou para fora de mim.kkkkk eu caí na minha bunda e o skate foi pelo outro lado da rua! mano kkkk foi tão engraçado!!!! Nós estávamos todos morrendo de riso kkkk!

boy, foi tão engraçado!!! Mas, além disso, com o trabalho esta semana foi um pouco difícil. temos alguns dificuldades em encontrar pessoas que desejam nos encontrar mais do que só uma vez. Tem sido difícil, mas eu sei que as coisas vão estar bem! Nós temos um pesquisadora muito boa com o qual trabalhamos desde a primeira semana desta transferência, ela é boa e está progredindo muito, menos o fato de que ainda não conseguimos que ela fosse à igreja conosco. Espero que ela venha conosco esta semana! Os dedos cruzaram todos! Temos muitas famílias realmente boas que nos encontramos na semana passada e tenho muita esperança de que as coisas funcionem com elas e poderemos ajudá-las um pouco nas próximas semanas!

Estou aprendendo muito essas últimas semanas muito mais sobre nosso Salvador Jesus Cristo e que Ele é realmente nossa única graça salvadora! Que Ele realmente sofreu voluntariamente por cada um de nós para nos dar a chance de aprender e crescer e nos dar uma pessoa, a pessoa mais perfeita para entender tudo o que estamos passando. Estou aprendendo cada vez mais que cada um de nós, independentemente da nossa situação, é um filho de Deus. Que ele ama cada um de nós pessoalmente e só quer o melhor absoluto para nós!

Amando minha vida aqui no Brasil e minha chance de compartilhar essa luz e conhecimento com as pessoas maravilhosas aqui! Obrigado a todos por serem ótimos exemplos na minha vida e me ajudar a sentir o amor de nosso Pai Celestial !!!

I'M ALIVE - I PROMISE!!!

I'M ALIVE - I PROMISE!!! Sorry, today we did so much and didnt have much time for anyone to write for more than 20 mins. so i'll write quick. This week was really difficult. we stayed at home literally everyday because sister sosa was sick. it was really rough, but dont worry she is much better!! Church was good but again none of our investigators went to church with us... part of the mission unfortunately. I uploaded tons of pics to dropbox! other than that not much has really happened. but things are going super well! we're teaching lots of really sweet people and we're just kind of waiting for them to go to church so we can help them take the next step and get baptized. vai dar certo!!!

sorry its short today, but I love you all so much and promise that next week I'll reply to everyone personally! Hope everyone has a great week!!
